The level of protest on the 12th anniversary of the plot against PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan on 15 February had far exceeded the level of activity the previous year, and congratulated the rebellion on its success.
On the 13th anniversary of the international plot against our leader APO we once again condemn all those forces that took part in this plot. This year the stance of the patriotic people in protesting against the international plot has exceeded the protests that had been taken up for the past 12 years both in terms of numbers and character of the activities. We respectfully greet our people's magnificent serhildan (uprisings) of this year.
Our people, with each day, understands the reality of our leader with a lot more decisiveness and profound consciousness and whereby owns up to their leader even more then before. This year our people have protested – these protests still continue- against the plot for the past week and the level attained in these protests has once again shown that the plot has not reached its aim. These protests and damnations are also acts of protest and damnations against the AKP's policy of continuing the plot and its fraudulent approach. AKP's practice of insincerity to resolve the Kurdish question, hypocrisy and deception of our people have now been exposed. Our people have now understood fully that they insist on the strategy to dissolve the Kurdish people within the Turkish nation-state. Hence the development of such an understanding and fury has turned these protests into protests against the phoniness of AKP when it comes to the Kurdish question. Our people have at the same time shown through these protests that they have the strength to advance its organizational capability, struggle and serhildan (uprising) to a higher level in order to remove all damages and consequences of the plot.
South Kurdistan has also protested the international plot this year with an increasing number of people and much fury adding to the much more advanced protests in North Kurdistan, Turkish cities and abroad. All this contributes to the formation of a national unity and the understanding of our leader's line of thinking. One of the fundamental messages of these protests was that they shall no longer accept the shameful situation of their leader APO being under such conditions of captivity. Also that they are decisive to establish their own life, future and free society on the basis of democratic autonomy and would respond with a grand resistance against AKP's colonial attacks and preventative efforts.
The President of the Turkish state Abdullah Gül has said in the face of the peoples' serhildan (uprising) in the Middle East that “one should heed the peoples' voice and take them into consideration” however back at home he has preferred not to see barbaric attacks of his policemen against our people and throwing of gas bombs even against our children arresting in total 200 people and wounding many just because they raised their voices in demanding Free Leader, Free identity and Democratic Autonomy for themselves. The stance of Abdullah Gül and the others have once again shown that the Turkish officials are hypocritical when it comes to the demands of the people of Kurdistan.
The Turkish media has also chosen not to see the decisive and sacrificial resistance of our people for their rightful, legitimate and social demands in the face of various state attacks against them. Apart from a limited number of honest and democratic columnists and intellectuals all the others have shown yet again that they are the media of the special warfare forces and that of the AKP.
Together with the magnificent popular protests by our people there were also some who burnt themselves in order to protest the international plot. However such a way of protest has been surpassed. In Amed, along Dicle the action taken by a Kurdish youth named Mustafa Malçuk, by way of burning himself, was taken in order to protest against the international plot. He is a martyr of our revolution. Of course it carries a great meaning within itself and expresses the spirit of the Apoist Kurdish youth. However, as we are approaching the finals we have the means for other types of activities hence it is wrong to take up such means of protest under such conditions. Previously our leader APO and movement's management had also stated that they would not approve of such actions. Despite these statements it is unacceptable that such actions are taken up. Present developments demand that we remove all the consequences of the international plot and to aim for activities that shall attain the freedom of our leader APO and our people. Such an action do imply a decisiveness but we do not approve of it and it should not be done. The youth of Kurdistan, no matter where they are, must turn this grand spirit, which means a devotion to our leader APO, martyrs, people, homeland and history, into a more advanced form of organization and activities.
Our people have yet again shown through these actions, where they protested against the international plot and shown devotion for their leader APO and demand his freedom, that not only the international plot has not obtained any results but that the political, cultural and economic genocidal policies of AKP shall also not obtain any results. AKP has not understood the message that was given through the actions taken to protest the international plot and to demand the freedom their leader APO. Instead they have barbarically attacked our people in order to break down their resistance. They should not this shall also prove fruitless. Our people should not keep silent in the face of the violence against them and should respond by advancing its protests. They must yet again show that they are a people of strong will and honour and decisive to establish their free future.
We therefore call our people to even further advance their protests in the face of the injustice and state terror of the AKP government and the political genocidal operations that continue to date and to take part in activities in a way that is suitable to the spirit of the final year when welcoming 8 March and Newroz.
