Women are our honour

Huseyin Ali - We congratulate all women on International Women’s Day 8th March and stand in solidarity with all those in struggle.

Women's Struggle for Freedom is the Struggle for Democracy and Freedom of all humanity. Without the emancipation of women, humanity with not achieve a truly free and democratic world.

The first oppression, exploitation and abuse of women, were carried out by men. The oppression, exploitation and abuse then occurred on the entire community.

The state has been shaped as a system of male sovereignty. Increasingly, not just men, but all settled in the community mindset. The reality has been shaped through abuse, female slavery and the pressure which cannot be eliminated until women's emancipation is achieved. For this reason, the freedom of women is not only that of the woman, but also the concern of the whole community.

Women have been victims of slavery, exploitation and abuse as a result of the instincts of men. Seeing the pressure, exploitation and abuse of women proves that the problem concerns not only women but also themselves and the whole community. Therefore, the problem of women is also a male problem. It is the problem of man to rid of impurities. It is the problem of freedom by getting rid of from oppression, exploitation and abuse genes.

Man who does not understand freedom of woman, a man that does not support the conversion by providing its own, no matter how much claimed itself to be socialist and democratic, can not escape from being an actor of repressive and exploitative system by carrying water mill, which supports this system.

Today, the geography of Mesopotamia is an area in which struggle for freedom of women has developed more strongly. No doubt, the leadership of the PKK plays a major role in this effort.

Women's socialization of humanity and the role in agriculture and rural revolution explains why women rise to feet in Kurdistan. The PKK Leadership sees it as a sacred duty for himself how to revive the age of women. This also means that men know to give their own self-criticism. The leadership of the PKK has shown in respect of the constitution to Kurdish woman as a female human being in the person of establishing true social and cultural values.

Today, all Kurds should honour the Freedom Struggle of Kurdish women. Today, Kurdish women make Kurds the most advanced society of humanity, by their actions carried out in their struggle. All the ugliness, dirt and unconsciousness emerged on the basis of this sovereignty over women. The Freedom Struggle of Kurdish women can serve to renew society’s degradation, corruption and lack of consciousness. In this point, this struggle deserves real merit of respect.

Today, the Kurds and Kurdistan is more beautiful than ever before. Certainly, the fight carried out by Kurds creates this the beauty. In fact, the beauty, prestige, and essence are the Kurdish woman's place at the struggle of freedom.

The Kurdish women stand in every area of the fight. To understand women's freedom and struggle for that makes the most profound ideological awareness and coverage of the women. Given attention to that women's freedom of losing and winning in the ideological struggle takes place in this axis to shape the society today and is a candidate to win.

Kurdish woman in every area of life that takes place, Women's Freedom Struggle is due to the ideological character. As in all areas, the Kurdish women are active in the field of Democratic Politics. No doubt, this taking place results from struggle and guerrilla achievement. In this regard, it is an sample to all the Middle East, including women, particularly women of Turkey. Kurdish women in Turkey and the Middle East, hinders roots of the oppressive and exploitative system. That gives a huge boost to the democratic struggle in Turkey.

As a result of the struggle of Kurdish women, the male sovereignty system in Turkey stands against women. The AKP takes the view that; "We would like to nominate more women candidates but the social background does not allow that; it is women’s lack interest in politics that is preventing it".

It is obvious that these are excuses used to defend male sovereignty. If a rate of at least forty percent of women in politics take place in Kurdistan it can take place in Turkey, too. Often it is being reported how much the rate of college women. If so it is, why at least forty percent of the quota is not processed?

They oppose quotas shamelessly. They claim that a quota is not even democratic. Women in Turkey, by asking 275 women deputies, have opposed this mentality and logic.

Women should take a strong attitude to parties not placing at least a forty per cent quota for women. Which party puts up women candidates should be supported. If half of the society is women, necessarily women should demonstrate the power of women in this election.

If Turkey cannot be democratic, the Kurdish problem will persist, one of the most important reasons is that few places of women in the field of democratic politics. If women become active in the field of democratic politics, their places can be empowered in parliament and local government, the existence of a solution to the Kurdish issue and Turkey's democratization can then take place as soon as possible.

Kurdish women in the field of political activity also impacts on the development of democracy in Kurdistan and the depth of the democratic revolution. Today, democratic culture is very strong in Kurdistan. Even there are some evil-doers, sworn enemies of the Freedom Movement and the Orientalist point of view denying this fact Kurdish women`s freedom reveals this truth cannot be denied.

By denialist and cultural genocide and political ideology, the Turkish government seeks to hide that fact and uses all of the methods of a special war. However, in the face of the wind of democratic culture and democracy in Kurdistan, this special war regime becomes every day more and more desperate.
